How is it applied?

It can be applied with glycolic acids from sugar beet and lactic acids in milk. In common use, superficial chemical peeling can be applied with glycolic acids obtained from sugar beet and lactic acids found in milk. More commonly known names are alpha hydroxy acids (AHA). Since these are very small molecules, they easily pass through the epidermis (the top layer of the skin). However, they cannot pass to the lower layer, the dermis. They trigger the regeneration of cells in the epidermis and increase their tolerance to external factors. Apart from cell regeneration, it is also successful in the treatment of superficial spots of epidermal origin.

In peeling with salicylic acids (BHA), this substance affects the epidermis more superficially. It is mostly preferred in the treatment of acne, blackheads and whiteheads and secondarily in the treatment of spots.

A peeling procedure lasting 5-10 min. is repeated at intervals of 2-4 weeks. Improvement in the skin can be noticed after 6-8 sessions. After the peeling process, if crusts form, they should not be peeled, the sun should be avoided, moisturisers prescribed by the doctor should be used.
