Dermapen is a micro-needling system. It is used in areas such as skin renewal and rejuvenation, reduction of fine wrinkles, tightening of pores, removal of acne scars, treatment of skin blemishes.

How is it applied?

Personalised cartridges are attached to the end of a device similar to a fountain pen, the tip of which is connected to electricity, and there are 12 titanium needles at the end of these. The cap is attached and the application is started on the skin. It has its own needle settings. It is possible to change its depth from 0.5 to 2.5 millimetres. By opening a large number of micro channels on the skin surface, micro damage and repair steps are triggered and the skin’s own, natural and controlled healing process is initiated.

Before the application, the skin is cleaned and local anaesthetic cream is applied. Depth is determined according to the purpose of the procedure. For example; different depths should be determined for acne scarring, pore minimisation. Dermapen can be used in areas such as spot treatment, acne, tightening of pores, as well as in cracks caused by the rapid oiling of the hip area. In these cases, positive results can be obtained with a combination of mesotherapy at one month intervals. After the procedure, the patient is given a cream mixture and sunscreen. It is informed that there may be redness for about one or two days. Afterwards, he can return to his normal life.

What Other Purposes Is It Used For?

It is also possible to apply some masks to the face with Dermapen. Because many micro channels are opened in the skin. The liquid hyaluronic acid and some multivitamins left on the surface of the skin can be fed to the patient’s skin without needling again. This is an alternative especially for patients who are afraid of deep needling.

It can also be easily applied to stretch marks in the abdomen and hip area after birth. However, it must be combined with firming mesotherapy. If necessary, the power of fractional laser can also be utilised.
